If your family craves a break from the relentless Malaysia heat, imagine a shade structure over a swim-up bar
They claim necessity is the mother of creativity, and that was definitely the case when Pool Builder & Service came up with the concept of building sunken shade structures over swim-up bars.
There are plenty of choices to consider when planning your ultimate backyard: a pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen for hosting cookouts and parties, a grassy area for games and sports, a shallow-water lounging baja table, a drink and chill out swim-up bar, a seating area with a TV and fireplace, and more. Why fly to a crowded beach, after all, when you can have a private oasis right in your own backyard?
However, there is one non-negotiable backyard feature to which every Malaysian can agree: Shade. Thus Pool Builder & Service started constructing sunken shade structures, where homeowners would literally walk down into their living area outside.
The more special features you have in your backyard design the more complicated the project will be, as you would imagine. Having it look smooth at all requires a lot of specialist research behind the scenes and underground.
"We have 6 years of engineering experience, special licenses, specific construction methods, and designs required for these larger projects," Smith says. "In fact, we are possibly the only option for a client if they choose to work for a fully licensed engineering company, general contractor, pool builder and landscape architect. And we do provide all these facilities at no extra cost.
Kenny describes that this project's pool-related items are usually very cheap, such as underwater tiled stools, and a top tiled bar. "But the primary expense is in the system, which may greatly vary," he says.
